The first two stories are familiar tales by Hans Christian Andersen, The Princess and the Pea and The Emperor's New Clothes. These stories were translated into Japanese by Masao Kusuyama. The next story is Tsue the Mouse by the Japanese writer Kenji Miyazawa. The last and longest story is The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Edgar Allan Poe.
